Blood Borne Pathogen (BBP) Training
Blood borne Pathogen Training should be completed by employees in the following job classifications:
- Special Education Teachers
- Paraprofessionals
- Substitute Teachers & Paras
- Coaches and Trainers
- Health Office Staff
This is mandatory training required by OSHA. The purpose of the training is to reduce or eliminate occupational exposure to potentially infectious materials which could cause disease or death.
At the end of the training you will need to take a short (easy) quiz, which will provide the documentation to prove you completed the training.
1. BloodBorne Pathogen Training Link- (2014-2015).
Employee Right to Know (ERK): Depending upon your job classification and description, you may need to complete this annually. This on-line training should be completed annually by all Art and Industrial Technology Staff. Custodial and Dietary staff will have this training completed at an annual staff meeting with their supervisor.
New Staff and substitutes should complete this training at least once during the orientation phase of employment. Contact Paul Jackson if you have any questions.
