New Immunization Law for 14-15 School Year- (MDH link)
- On Sept. 1, 2014, changes to Minnesota’s Immunization Law will begin and will affect this year's Kindergarten and entering 7th grade students.
- Medical and Conscientious Exemptions are allowed under the law. If a student should not be immunized due to medical or legal reasons, the parent/guardian must complete documentation requiring a Medical Providers signature OR a Notary Public signature. (Page 2 of the Form.)
- All students not in compliance with state law will be excluded from school until the appropriate documentation is on file in the school Health Office.
- Low Cost Immunizations Options:
- Immunizations clinics are held monthly at no or low cost thru Pine County Public Health, call 320-245-3063 to confirm location and times. They are located in the Pine County Government Center (Old Courthouse-bottom floor). 315 Main St, Suite 1. Pine City MN 55063. Clinic is offered the Wednesday after the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 2-4pm.
- Fairview Health Services will be providing Immunizations in August and the first 2 weeks of September for any student still not in compliance. No Co-pay required & the student does not have to be a Fairview patient.
